As some of you may or may have not heard roughly a month ago my time with The CompassAK came to an end. There were some burdens of my heart that lead to this mutual decision. Being in a world of two ministries, two bosses, two sets of requirements and two of everything really was weighing on me. Our prayer life these past few months has been filled with seeking Gods sovereign will for our life. He has done just that. We believe he has simplified our focus.
I feel a great peace about the decision. I remembered that I am serving God not man, not an organization. My involvement regardless of location and context is in service to Him and through the area or organization he has me. I truly believe this is the song of my heart, to faithfully serve the father no matter the context.
As I look forward to the future I pray The Compass continues to grow in the area that God has them. That each one of the staff and volunteers continue to share the Love of Jesus. I am hopeful for the future of our ministry here in Alaska as we continue to serve God in the areas he has planted us, for as long as he has for us.
In short, nothing has really changed. Other than the area God has us serving through. We are committed to serving the youth of Alaska. God brought us here and He will continue to keep us here until he diecides.
